National Defense Academy of Japan

Aim of the NDA

Education and training are designed so as to help cadets to develop a broad persepective, scientific and logical way of thinking, and admirable personality.

Main emphasis, however, is placed on academic education.(Military training is limited to the fundmental level.) This is because cadets receive further training as officer candidates at the officer candidate schools(OCSs) after graduation.
