The "Photonics Engineering" areas include research on optical fiber sensors for mechanical vibration, acoustic field, strain, temperature, etc., which are to be integrated into remote sensing systems and/or health monitoring systems of structures, and development of laser light sources and other devices associated with the sensor systems.
