#29 GS Colloquium
Date December 22, 2020
Contents The MTE introduced a new crypto technology that inputs secret key only when initializing IoT devices and then changes the codebook sequentially. It is possible to operate drones and webcams by using randomly generated "Tokens" instead of ciphertexts. In addition, an application example was shown in which encrypted communication can be performed without key exchange by using Key encapsulation mechanisms (KEM). After that, we discussed security analysis and practical effectiveness. The main discussion was that its security depends on the pseudo-random number generator, and details of KEM specifications. And technical discussion continued on email.
Moderators Associate Prof. Hidema Tanaka (NDA)
