Thermal Engineering Laboratory

Features of the Thermal Engineering Laboratory

The Thermal Engineering Research Laboratory comprises 4 wind tunnels, including a smoke wind tunnel, devices for measuring flow velocities, temperature, infinitesimal pressures and others, which can be used for performing various experiments. Unconfined to the fundamentals, the laboratory can perform practical research, such as measuring the cooling capabilities of CPU fans, which is valuable for the thermal design of electronic equipment. In addition, experiments are performed with the aim of reducing the drag force acting on cylindrical and other objects, where we can witness the mystery of how subtle changes in the shape of an object can result in a great change of its fluid force.
