Naval Architecture

The Seamanship Laboratory undertakes research on guidance and control of ocean vehicles such as warships, merchant ships and underwater vehicles. At the Laboratory, students learn a methodology on guidance and control, and verify the validity based on numerical experiments, model experiments and onboard experiments. Keywords for some of the most important research currently being undertaken at the Laboratory are gcollision avoidance,h gprevention of capsizing,h gprediction of slammingh and grudder-roll stabilization auto pilot system.h
