Students will develop a deep level of knowledge of the metallographic structure and mechanical properties of metallic materials through lectures and experiments, learn methods of strengthening materials and deformation mechanisms and acquire proficiency in the properties of and usage methods for structural materials, from the perspective of making practical usage of such materials. They will also undertake research and development of practical heat-resistant metallic materials for the future.
