Surugadai Memorial Hall , the conference site, is located at in front
of the JR Ochanomizu station which is a neighbour of JR AKIHABARA. It
is located at truly center of Tokyo so it is very convenient to access

Surugadai Memorial Hall was built in commemoration of the centenary
celebrations of Chuo University in 1988, on the site of the former Chuo
University Hall in Kanda-Surugadai in Chiyoda-ku. Comprising seven
floors above ground and two floors below, the hall contains 29 rooms in
all, ranging from a conference hall with capacity for 360 people to
smaller discussion rooms with seating for about 10, used for both
education and research. With the Korakuen and Ichigaya Campuses, it
plays an effective role as a venue for interaction between students,
alumni, and staff, and a focus for artistic and cultural activities in
the city. Its facilities can also be rented out for study and lectures
by extramural corporations, groups, and foundations.
The hall contains a coffee shop and a restaurant, so that it is also a
place for relaxation, refreshment, and parties.

Chuo University was founded in July 1885 as Igirisu Horitsu Gakko
(English Law School) at Nishiki-cho in the Kanda district of Tokyo by a
group of 18 young attorneys and scholars. In the 120 years since its
founding as the English Law School, Chuo University has evolved into
one of the most prestigious universities in Japan, and it has produced
a great number of outstanding graduates.
