Graduate School of Science and Engineering

NDA established the Graduate School of Science and Engineering in 1962 for the purpose of educating and training officers together with those civilian officials and civilian serving the Ministry of Defense and Defence Industrier.Overseas students mainly officers are also studying. The graduate school has seven major subjects, consisting of 16 courses and covering 54 research fields.

Students are admitted each year selected by the entrance examination. They live on the Academy campus, and study for full two years under the guidance of their supervisons. Most graduete students are very active in their research. They attend many conferences including international conferences to present and share their latest research results with other scholars.

In order to graduate, the students are required not only to complete the courses with a minimum of 30 credits for compulsory and elective subjects, but also to write the graduation thesis on the subjects they have majored in and to pass the graduation examination. In addition, the students who passed the thesis examination on by the National Institution for Academic Degrees are granted master's degree.
