At the National Defense Academy, we welcome many officer candidates, and offer them with education and training in both undergraduate and graduate programs. International cadets primarily from ASEAN countries who study in the undergraduate program spend five years at the academy, including a one-year Japanese language training period. Cadets from South Korea join the undergraduate program in their second year and remain at the academy for two years until the completion of their third year. Additionally, international cadets from countries such as the United States, France, and Australia spend approximately four months at the academy.
