Dean's Welcome

Department of International Relations offers a wide variety of cadet education programs, focusing on those topics which help better prepare future leaders of the Self Defense Forces.

Students of our department study the issues of diplomacy and international security. They examine relations between states from a variety of disciplines: theories of international relations; international law; diplomatic history; regional studies; political thought; international political economy.

The graduates of our department are expected to play important roles in such fields such as peace keeping operations and activities of international cooperation.
